The unit was easy enough to install and it produces nice heat to warm an area it’s immediate range. The remote isn’t very powerful and you do have to be standing practically next to or below the unit to turn it on. Another problem with the remote is that it will only work after pushing the button several times or trying different angles. I was hoping to be able to turn this unit on, which I installed in my detached garage, from the comfort of my house (about 30 feet away).

These heaters are fine. I have a 10 ft wide and 30 foot long covered deck and installed 4 of these on three separate circuits to cover our main seating areas. 1500 w is what it is. They do a decent job at taking a chill off which is all one can expect from 1500 w device. If you need more heat than that then run a 220v line and get a 5000 watt unit.

Nice solid heater with rapid heat upon turning on. Does well for close or small spaces. I don’t see it heating anything bigger than that. I wish the mount could be multidirectional(up and down) but I won’t ding the stars because I knew that before purchase. Remote works well, I have no need to use from a distance greater than 5 feet, luckily that was the max distance it worked anyhow with a direct line of sight.

Easy to install. I placed in on the roof of my deck for when I get out of the hot tub. Keeps me nice and toasty as I dry off!

This heater is awesome my room is 16×14 tried it out this morning instant heat like walking out to the sun . Warmed up the space in 30 mins. 1 hr later to hot , but thats an awesome thing. Looking to cut back on my old 1940’s floor furnace that BANGS and POPS when it shuts down .This heater is also great for pets . Good for people with arthritis .This Star heater is the way to go . At night it will make the room glow red.
