    I was skeptical about getting this unit because if I’m not mistaken this is from a company that makes predominantly bidets (Bio-Bidet). Although having a good reputation for that I was worried that their initial step into a sensor faucet could be a flop. It’s only been a few days but I must say that this seems like much better quality than the other top brands I looked at in person at HDepot etc. The features are awesome and so far work flawlessly. They made the sensor so your hand has to be in proximity to turn it on or off. A few people didn’t like this or maybe just understand this is a good thing to prevent the faucet turning on unwanted or from a reflection etc. It works very good and only takes a very fast movement in front of it. Also the feature where you pull the spout down and back to turn the water on and off is tremendous. I never realized how much more efficient things in the kitchen could be with a faucet like this. Well, that’s why I got it but didn’t realize it would make this much of a positive difference.

   What a great faucet, and at a nice price point to boot. You always wonder if you should spend double or triple for the “name brand” item, but I doubt they’re much better, if better at all, to this one. Visited a friend’s house last week, for example, I didn’t tell him, but his faucet, which cost more than mine, wasn’t nearly as nice. Installed it myself w/ no problems (first time installing a faucet). As others have noted, removing the existing faucet was trickier than getting this one in.I wish I could point out some cons, to help you avoid things I don’t mind but that you might not like…but I really haven’t noticed any. I suppose the sensor, maybe? I think it’s better that you have to put your hand right by it to activate it or turn it off. This way it doesn’t automatically turn off when you’re using it (well, it does automatically turn off after 3 minutes, if you don’t turn it off). And you’re less likely to accidentally turn it on. Oh, and the sprayer – which is really nice, as it automatically turns on and off when you pull it out or let it go – is retracted via a weight, rather than a magnet. I suppose some might prefer a magnet, the weight has worked just fine, 100% of the time so far, for me.

   I waited awhile after purchasing to review this faucet. I’ve had this for a month, and am so happy I decided to purchase it to replace a 20 year old moen faucet that was peeling chrome. Who knows if it will last as long, but I love this faucet. It looks just as good as the fancy name brands at Lowe’s for a lot less money. When you are working with nasty stuff in the kitchen (raw chicken for example), it is so nice to be able to get my hands clean without touching anything, that I then have to sanitize as well. My spouse installed it when it came in a short amount of time. No leaks, easy installation with regular tools. I will say though, the two year old who came to visit loved it and caught on right away. And for that reason I love the auto shut off mechanisms. But my poor 95 year old mother never did catch on even after 2 weeks of me re-explaining how to use it, so maybe not the best choice for an elderly parent. I did pay a hundred dollars less on a daily deal than what it is currently listed for.

   I’ve had this faucet for about a month and a half and I love, love, love it! I was a bit confused as to how it would work when reading the other reviews so I’ll try to clear up some of the confusion I had when reading the reviews. Basically there are three different ways to turn this on an off. First, there is the traditional way of using the handle. When I bought it, I figured if the sensor didn’t work very well I would just switch to manual but I’ve not needed to do that. Second, you can use the sensor that is at the base of the fixture – this is what I”ve used 98% of the time so far. When using the sensor, you will have to have the handle/lever in the on position and at the desired water temperature and flow so whenever you turn it on using the sensor it will be at the temperature and flow to which you have set the handle the last time it was used. To turn it back off, you wave your hand in front of the sensor again. More comments on the sensor: I was afraid this was going to be like the super annoying sensors they have in most public bathrooms where you are constantly having to move your hands around to keep the flow going while washing your hands. On this faucet, that problem has been solved by having the sensor only “sense” things that are very very close it it. I was imagining frantically moving dishes around in the sink as I tried to keep the water flowing as I washed or rinsed them. Think of this sensor as being a button that you come ever so close to pushing but with out actually touching anything… so you wave your hand, super close to the sensor and the water turns on and stays on while you’re doing what you need to do with the water and then you wave your hand super close to the sensor again and it turns off.When using the sensor, the water will turn off on its own if the water flows for three minutes (or somewhere around three minutes), so if you are worried about a cat jumping in front of your sensor and leaving the water to run all day, fear not!… for the great people at BioBidet have already thought about that one. The third way to turn the water on and off is to pull the sprayer nozzle out and then put it back. Like the sensor option, the water flow and temperature will be at what ever the lever was set to previously. Now, if you will allow me to rock your world… you can also mix and match the sensor at the base of the fixture with the spray nozzle! Imagine this: I’m baking and need to rinse off my measuring cup but I have egg goo on my hand so I don’t want to touch anything so I wave my hand super close to the sensor and turn on the water without touching anything. Then I rinse off my hand (cuz it has egg goo on it) and continue to wash my measuring cup. Then, as I’m washing my measuring cup, I look at the sink and think “this thing could use a rinsing” so I pull down the spray nozzle and start rinsing the sink – because the water will continue to flow if you turn it on with the sensor and then pull down the spray nozzle. Then, when I’m done rinsing the sink with the spray nozzle, I feed the spray nozzle back to it’s position and BAM!! just like magic, the water turns off!! I don’t know about you but I think that’s pretty darn impressive.

    I was skeptical when I ordered this faucet as it was a pretty low price compared to others on the market and I worried a bit about something failing which would leave us without a functional sink. We have been using this faucet for about 2½ months now with no issues. While moderately handy, I am definitely not a plumber and found no issues getting this in place. The directions are pretty clear and it is fairly simple to install the setup. My original faucet used three holes in my sink – one for the water, one for the flow/temperature control and another for the handheld sprayer. This faucet put all three of these into a single hole. The faucet does include a base that would cover three holes (faucet in middle and covering one hole to either side), but I decided to use some sink hole covers I found on Amazon and have been pleased. It is easy to bypass the sensor if you want to use this as a ‘normal’ faucet. The batteries are easy to replace and I have not needed to change the new batteries I put in it (initially put in used which only lasted a few days). All in all this has been a great faucet that was exceptionally easy to install. I continue to be amazed at this faucet. There have been absolutely no issues! We are much more water efficient because you can easily turn on/off the water without needing to touch the handles. This means that while scrubbing dishes or washing your hands you can have the water off while doing the scrubbing and quickly turn it back on to rinse. I am hoping the company will make a bathroom sensor faucet as it would be stellar to be able to turn on/of the water with a wave of the hand while brushing teeth or washing hands!

   Let me first state that this is a real review from a person who paid full price. The BioBidet kitchen faucet is a nice addition to our kitchen renovation. We looked at a lot of faucets in prices ranging from about $200-$400. The competitor name brands that offered touchless on off features were not rated as well, and were more expensive. Some of the other reviewers mentioned that the sensor is low & you have to get close to it to activate, but I find this a positive feature. I have activated it by accident a couple of times, making me thankful it is not as sensitive as the competitor faucet reviews state they are. While a touchless faucet takes some getting used to, overall I am very pleased with this purchase. I like that the feature also works when you use the sprayer. If you want the spray/hose feature, you simply grab the nozzle and it goes on. Put the nozzle back and it turns off. One warning. The spray nozzle produces a very strong spray, so be prepared for a deluge. The first time I used the spray nozzle, I got soaked. Now I’m used to it and keep the nozzle low in the sink and I step back a little. It is also a pretty faucet, making the sink area look beautiful and classy. I am giving it 4 stars, as it is a great faucet I would purchase again, but not perfect.
